How To Make Money Blogging – Choose Your Hosting Platform Wisely

If you are thinking up putting up your own website, the most important thing you should consider is the type of web hosting service you’d like to avail of. There are a lot of web hosting services in the internet today. Some of them are even offered free of charge.

Web hosting services vary greatly in the features that company provides. And when it comes to web hosting the following features are the things you should check first:

The image below is a partial view of the cPanel user area for blueHost, our choice for a hosting the tool most recommened by WordPress users.  This blog and Money Savings Advice are bloth hosted on one blueHost account.

1. Total web space provided.
Web space corresponds to the amount of files you can upload to the server. Of course, the bigger the web space provided, the more sites and sub-domains you can host. You can also install many applications, as space is not going to be a problem.

2. Total amount of traffic allowed.
Some web hosting services measures the traffic a certain website get. When it comes to this aspect, unlimited traffic is best. If there’s a limit to the monthly traffic delegated to your site, chances are, your website won’t display on the browsers of the visitors who are above the limit. This won’t make your site look good.

3. Server uptime.
You want your website up 100% of the time, if possible. This feature is usually dependent on the servers of your web-hosting provider. You have to make sure that you go with the company that is totally reliable.

4. Software, applications and bundles included.
This is where the freebies come in. There are a lot of web hosting services that offer application installation support. The most common web hosting scripts and programs today are Java, Php, and Frontpage. Try to find out which of these are supported by your web hosting provider to determine if your web page will work for them or not.

The performance of your website relies on your web hosting service. Make sure you trust your website only to the experts. Go with the company that understands the needs of their clients when it comes to uptime and functionality.

How To Make Money Blogging-10 Ways To Increase Your Blog’s Pageviews

How To Make Money Blogging With More Traffic

With Google Adsense or Yahoo Publisher, having people click onto more pages helps your revenue immensely, but how do you get them to read more than one page when they visit your website? Here are a few tips.

1. Create pages within the blog that contain reference material you refer to often in your posts. These static pages will also get crawled and indexed by the search engines and as you write posts about your topics you can refer people to these static pages as references to what you are posting about.

2. Use articles as static pages. You can reprint articles on any topic for free by visiting one of the many article directories like http://www.articlecontentprovider.com/articlesubmit/ Then refer people to read the articles that relate to the post you are making. You could even add one article as a new page every time you make a post.  Submit articles using Mass Article Control.

3. Refer to other posts you have made on your blog or on another one of your blogs while posting. This gets the reader to click over to previous posts. You can even decide your posts by browsing previous posts and deciding which one to follow up on. Those archives are not to be lost and forgotten. Its great material, (you wrote it right?), so use it.

4. Create a page that links to your favorite posts that are timeless. You browse your old posts, find posts that you want readers to find easily, then build a links page with those posts directly linked. Then add a link to that page from your front page. Call it favorite posts or whatever and you will benefit by those that click through and follow those links.

5. I’ve posted here before about the “more” tag. You write your post as normal, then decide where you want to break the post up onto a new page. You put the more tag in and readers have to click to a new page to read the rest of the story.

6. Write once per week special projects. These are a series of articles on a particular topic. You will be offering it once per week giving readers a week to comment on it, then have them hanging on for next weeks special post in the series. Each time add links to previous posts in that series.

7. Using your content from your other websites or blogs is also a great way to get more pageviews for all of them. Use the target new tag and refer to material on your other blogs and websites. It will open a new window leaving the current blog open while they visit your other website or blog. You can quickly double up your pageviews while also introducing your readers to your other websites and blogs.

8. Make a list of 10 previous posts and the links to those posts. Make a post in your blog about 10 things you want your readers to know and read in case they have not done so before. At your suggestion they will at least go see if they have read those posts before, increasing your pageviews once again plus bringing old material to new readers. That also lets them know they should browse the archives for things they have missed.

9. Using that same list of 10 posts or a new one, visit other blogs on your topic. Find posts that talk about something similar to one of those 10 posts, then instead of adding a link in your signature to the home page, make a comment there and refer to the post that is similar and that contains helpful information to that blogger and their readers. You will also be increasing your link popularity while doing this. Do not spam the link. Make sure it actually contains useful information. Don’t be trolls or spammers and you will end up with new readers and more page views for your blog.

10. Do not stop being creative. Use the tips in this article, plus invent some of your own ways to interlink your blogposts together. Create pages. Don’t just post and forget. That content is valuable, use it. Do not make people search your blog. They are lazy and busy. Bring it to them. That is just good customer service.

I hope this article helps you learn there is more to blogging than just writing a post once in awhile or even daily. If you employ the tips I just gave you into your blog I guarantee you will increase your pageviews which in turn will increase your revenue if using an ad program in your blog.

5 Lousy Words You Should Never Say In Your Blog Posts Or Articles

How To Make Money Blogging

Do you know exactly why people don’t seem excited to buy your product? Have you ever wonder why your competitors make more sales even though they have a terrible product to offer? Even worse, why people couldn’t even be bothered to live their email address in your opt-in form and subscribe to your free newsletter?

You may wonder people just don’t feel interested to buy your product or maybe your price is too high. Or you’ve finally realized that your product is a pile of junk and decided to find another product to sell.

You’ve got to stop whatever you’re doing and think for a moment. It is not your product to be blame. Sometimes your own salesletter which is the one that kill your business. You’ve written some words that people don’t even want to hear and scare the hell out of them. Studied has shown using these words will decrease your sales up to 75%.

So, what are exactly the bad words you should never say in your newsletter?

1) Buy – This specifically asking people to take out their wallet and spend some money. Bare in mind, most people surf the Internet searching certain information for free and sometimes they need more time before considering buying your product. Whatever business you’re doing, using this word alone can destroy your business in split second. Instead of using the word ‘buy’, change it to ‘claim’ or ‘invest’. Ask yourself, which one sound better, “Buy this amazing product” or “Claim this amazing product.”

2) Learn – This will remind people back in the old days where they have to study and learn in 1st or 2nd Grade. Nobody wants to squeeze their brain out and learn something new on the Internet. Information on the Internet is just too huge. Nowadays, people want fast information and have no time to learn. Instead of using the word ‘learn’, it is better to use the word ‘discover’. Now we are giving somewhere. Does this word sounds a lot better, “Discover 10 Easy Tips To Improve Your Make Money Blog.”

3) Tell – You don’t have to use this word to explain the benefit of your product. People will not listen to you if they don’t recognize you. Study this two words carefully, “Let me tell you the secrets of a make money blog” or “Let me reveal to you the secrets of a make money blog.” Which one do you think that will make people keep on reading your newsletter?

4) Things – Using this word will not make your salesletter sound astonishing. It makes the salesletter very boring to read. This will make people lost their confidence in whatever you’ve offered to them. Instead of using the word ‘things’, consider to revise it to ‘tips’, ‘tricks’ or ‘techniques’. “Get these 5 great techniques right away” is far better than “Get these 5 great things right away.”

5) Stuff – This word is what most marketers used to describe how great the product is. If you change it to ‘Insider Secrets’, definitely this will give people an urge to act right away. Consider this two words, “Click here to download your 7 stuffs” or “Click here to download your 7 amazing insider secrets.” Which one would you like to click?

If you can avoid this 5 bad words, your sales will definitely boost up to the roof. Don’t neglect the power of these words. Now, it’s time for you to check all your salesletter and change it (if any) right away. You will be surprise of the outcome.

A Proven System For Making Money Online

Make Money Blogging-Follow This Advice

Why do most people fail online? Why do they never make any money? It’s because they think about money first and about their customers last. They create a few pages, stuff them with affiliate links and ads and then they wait for the money to roll in — usually they wait forever.
Here is a simple formula to build a successful money-making online business:

* Carefully research several niches before choosing a theme for your site. You should be passionate about the subject and there must be a hungry market for it.

* Start building valuable content for both, your site visitors and the search engines.

* Build more content, distribute articles, participate in targeted forums… this allows you to establish yourself as the expert in your field, to win the trust of your audience and to attract free, targeted traffic from the search engines.

* Add new marketing strategies. Publish an e-zine to build your customer base, to establishes yourself as the expert in your niche, to gain trust…

* Once you have a site of at least 40 content pages with at least 50 unique visitors per day, start monetizing: Add affiliate links, Google AdSense, sell your products or services…
It just doesn’t make any sense trying to monetize your site, as long as you have only a few visitors. Who do you want to sell to? Instead, focus on building more content, driving traffic, building your list…
Follow the “Content – Traffic – Trust – Monetize Traffic” formula and you can’t fail:

* Build valuable content for your visitors and optimize it for the search engines.

* After some time, the search engines will start sending you free, targeted traffic — traffic that will steadily increase.

* Provide valuable, problem-solving information. This allows you to build a relationship of trust with your audience and they will be more than happy to buy your products, follow your recommendations…

* Ok, now and only now it’s time to monetize traffic: Place your affiliate links and Google ads, sell your own products…
Monetization comes last in the process of building your online business.. First, you should create valuable content, you generate traffic, you gain the trust of your visitors and only then it makes sense to monetize your site traffic.

Increase Traffic To Your Blog with Mass Article Blueprint and Article Marketing

Here is a secret website about Article Marketing that is a must read if you are serious about making money with your blog.

Google loves Ezinearticles.com, Goarticles.com, & Searchwarp.com…which are all article directory sites.

Google also loves some classified ad sites: UsFreeAds is their favorite and has been for over 2 years.

Using articles to promote products is not only free but very powerful and effective. Simply writing a 400-600 word article reviewing one of these products and submitting it to hundreds of online article directories can bring you sales daily for months and years to come. Now I know you are saying to yourself “I hate writing” or “I’m not a very good writer”. Leave all the excuses at the door because
I can solve both of those problems. You don’t need to be a good writer and there are thousands of people out there ready and willing to write articles for you.

Now that you understand the importance of article marketing, the big question is how do you overcome writers block and where do you get ideas.  One way is to research the products you want to promote and pick out certain features you can highlight.  I highly recommend that you make this an ongoing practice.

I also believe that you should very seriously consider investing ( a minor amount) for Mass Article Control.  See the image below.  This is my personal laptop and the explorer directory of all the folders that come with Mass Article Control. Each folder has hundreds of articles pre-written for you.  On top of that you get tools to submit the articles and tools to modify them so you are not posting duplicates!  Also, these articles make great blog posts.  All of this comes with Mass Article Control and is a VERY worthwhile investment if you are serious about making money blogging.

Make Money Blogging with Free Advertising

1. Free directories: directories are perfect for customers that are searching for a particular topic. What’s great about them is that you only have to post once and they are good for long periods of time. It saves a lot of your time when you don’t have to resubmit your information every week or every month. The bad news is most of your traffic won’t come from here. I still feel it is worth it to get your link out there. Just take one day and set it aside for posting to free directories. You won’t need to do it again for at least 6 months.

2. Classified Ads: These are great for work from home businesses. Think about it. Where do people go when they are looking for a job? That’s right-the classifieds. The only downside to classified ads is that you have to resubmit them quite frequently. Once you find which classifieds bring you the most traffic you can concentrate on them and weed the others out. So it is really more time consuming in the beginning, and doesn’t have to be later on when you get the hang of things.

3. Free article submissions/ezines: The best way to inform others about your product or service is to write an article about it. In your authors resource box, you can tell readers about yourself and where they can go to check out your product or service. This is also an excellent way to get free links to your site if you have one. There are a lot of webmasters out there who are looking for good articles they can post on their site. If they post yours, that is another site that is doing the advertising for you. All for free.

4. URL Submissions: Probably the quickest and easiest thing to do to advertise your site. Just type “Free URL submission” in your search engine. When you get a list just enter the URL you are promoting and click submit. That’s it. It only takes a few seconds and your done. Just set a day aside once every 3 months and do this.

5. Forum Posts: Put your product or service website in your signature file when you sign up on some forums. It will be displayed every time you make a post. Try to look for topics that you have some knowledge on, and can give a relevant answer too. Do not spam anyone, you will get kicked off the forum and you will get a bad reputation. Get involved asking and answering questions that pertain to your area of business. Forums are great because once you make a post it stays there forever. It will get moved to the archives eventually, but someone could still find it if they were searching the archives. Yes, there are many people who do.

6. Traffic Exchanges: Probably the most time consuming way to advertise for free, but definately the most effective. Most forums I have visited have said in many posts that they received a lot of their profit from traffic exchanges. If you don’t want to spend the time surfing for credits, you do have the option of buying them. I would look into a program that lets you surf multiple websites at once like crazy browser. There are others and they are free to download. That way you can just spend one hour a day and get all your surfing in at once.

7. News-groups: Become involved in a group that has to do with your kind of business. You can usually mail the group once per day, but I would encourage you to find something fresh to talk about each day. People will tune you out if they see the same message all the time. Remember to never Spam anyone. Only join groups with the same interests as yours. In other words, don’t sign up for a recipe swapping group when you are advertising shaving cream.

You can make money blogging.  Don’t quit!

Make Money Blogging;Do You Know The Value Of Article Submission?

How To Make Money Blogging

Article submission is the process in which you submit articles to the article directories that will then publish them. This can create an enormous amount of back links your website or blog.  This allows for individuals to get the traffic that they need without paying huge advertising dollars or trying to compete too heavily with the thousands of other website owners out there. It an easy, affordable way to generate traffic to your website.

But, what are some of the benefits for using these article submission websites? What will you gain, exactly from them? To understand what opportunities you have when you use article submission, here are some things for you to think about.

First, consider the fact that you will gain a tremendous amount of free traffic to your website. When you include your website link at the bottom of the article that you have written and that article is passed around from one location to the next, you are sure to reap the rewards with all the traffic that it will accumulate. Just on the primary side of things, that first website it is placed on, can do a tremendous amount of business for you.

Do you know of a better, virtually free method of advertising your website? Most do not have the huge budget of those million dollar advertising companies. If you use article submission in this manner, you are sure to create for yourself quite a good amount of free traffic. Unless you pay someone to write for you, you have very little to no cost at all on this traffic generator

Make Money Blogging With Mass Article Control

If you really don’t want to do the writing for yourself, you can easily find writers that can write for you. While you will have to pay them, you will still be able to get excellent results. It as simple as finding the writer, conveying your need and then submitting the articles to article directories. Then, you will have even less to do yourself. That makes your job easier while still giving the same results. Another alternative and the one we use is Mass Article Control. Not only do you get thousands of pre-written articles in many different categories, you also get 2 software packages. One is aticle creation and another is article submission.  These tools, along with the thousands of  articles can really jumbstart your business to make money blogging.

Believe it or not, the value of using article submission may be more so than just getting the back links to your websites. In fact, you will be able to establish yourself as somewhat of an expert on the subject. This helps you to gain recognition as being a good source of information on the subject of your website. Why does that matter? If for nothing else, it helps you to establish a foundation as to who you are on the web.All of these benefits are really only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the benefits of using article submission. The bottom line is that your website, no matter how large or small, no matter what type of budget you actually have can have a good amount of traffic on it. When webmasters take your article, with your link attached to it, and place it on their website for content use, you are the one who is going to get traffic. Consider your own process. If you went to a website, read an article and learned about something would you click the link at the bottom to find out more about who wrote it or where to get the items? It is very much possible to generate quite a bit of traffic from this virtually free type of advertising.

How RSS Can Improve Search Engine Rankings

Make Money Blogging

RSS – It’s like subscribing to a magazine that is delivered to you periodically but instead of it coming in your physical mail box each month when the magazine is published it is delivered to your ‘RSS Reader’ every time your favorite website updates.

1. RSS Feeds Provide Instant Themed Content?

There are several publishers of RSS feeds that are specific to a particular theme. Since the feed is highly targeted, it could contain several keywords that you want to rank highly for. Adding these keywords to your pages helps Google tag your site as one with relevant content.

2. RSS Feeds Provide Fresh, Updated Content

RSS feeds from large publishers are updated at specific intervals. When the publisher adds a new article to the feed, the oldest article is dropped. These changes are immediately effected on your pages with the RSS feed as well. So you have fresh relevant content for your visitors every hour or day.

make money bloggingSubscribe to Make Money Blogging

3. RSS Feeds Result in More Frequent Spidering

One thing I never anticipated would happen as a result of adding an RSS feed to my site was that the Googlebot visited my site almost daily. To the Googlebot, my page that had the RSS feed incorporated into it was as good as a page that was being updated daily, and in its judgement, was a page that was worth visiting daily. What this means to you, is that you will have your site being indexed more frequently by the Googlebot and so any new pages that you add to your site will be picked up much faster than your competitors.

Better Search Engine Rankings with RSS

RSS is the latest craze in online publishing. But what exactly is RSS? RSS or Rich Site Syndication is a file format similar to XML, and is used by publishers to make their content available to others in a format that can be universally understood. RSS allows publishers to “Syndicate” their content through the distribution of lists of hyperlinks.

It has actually been around for a while, but with the advent of spam filters and online blogging, it is fast becoming the choice of ezine publishers who want to get their message across to their subscribers. However, not much attention has been given to the advantages RSS provides for search engine optimization.

Why Search Engines Love RSS?

Many SEO experts believe that sites optimized around themes, or niches, where all pages correspond to a particular subject or set of keywords, rank better in the search engines. For example, if your website is designed to sell tennis rackets, your entire site content would be focused around tennis and tennis rackets.

Search engines like Google seem to prefer tightly-themed pages.

But where does RSS figure in all this? RSS feeds, usually sourced from newsfeeds or blogs, often correspond to a particular theme or niche. By using highly targeted RSS feeds, you can enhance your site’s content without having to write a single line on your own. It’s like having your own content writer – writing theme-based articles for you – for free!

Get Tons Of Visitors Using Stumbleupon

Make Money Blogging with More Traffic

Stumbleupon is a a great resource for traffic. In order for you to be successful you need to know how to use Stumbleupon to take advantage of it’s power. Below are a list of things you need to do in order to enhance your Stumbleupon posts.

◦ Choose the right category. The wrong category won’t get you targeted traffic. If you are looking to sell a product or capture readers the wrong category may get you page views, but it won’t convert.

◦Take the time to create quality posts and then stumble them. There is nothing wrong with stumbling your own post. Just make sure the posts add value to your readers

◦One way to get traffic and more stumbles is to join an exchange. Exchanges such as http://www.stumblexchange.com/ and http://suexchange.com/ allow you to exchange stumbles.

◦Pay attention to your site referrals. If someone writes a post and it links to you, be sure to stumble theie post. It will help them help you.

◦Titles are important. How you title your post will depend on how many people view your post.  How to’s, tops ways to do something,  video and image related titles can grab a lot of attention.

◦Even though having ads before the content works well for ad conversions, don’t do that on pages where you are stumbling posts. People will bail if they think it is a ploy to get clicks.

◦Place images and / or videos in posts.

◦Add a StumbleUpon icon to your blog. Make it easy for people to stumble your posts.

Can You Really Make Money Blogging?

September 27th, 2009 No comments

There are many people from all walks of life searching for ways to make more money, and the internet seems to be full of opportunities. Usually when you start searching for jobs or work at home possibilities, you get bombarded with a lot of hype! You know the old saying, “If it looks too good to be true, it probably is!” Remember that when you start looking for opportunities to help you make money blogging! If everything were as easy as it seems to be, then we could all quit our full time day jobs and just work online from the comfort of our home! Okay-maybe not, but I have been doing this online working thing for awhile now, and I want to share with you some advice about how to do it the right way!

1. Start Slow!

When you first start out trying to make money blogging, the internet is going to seem like a huge place with tons of information everywhere. You’ll probably feel overwhelmed with an information overload! Don’t let that happen. You need to take it a little bit everyday and learn as much as you can bit by bit. One of the best ways to do this is to keep paper by your computer and take notes. Write down any good websites you find that you may want to refer back to. Print out information that you will need in the future. Read as much as you can and go back and read it again. You need to really let it soak in, and you need to absorb as much as possible. Generally, if you allow yourself enough time to do some research before you try to get started, you will arm yourself with a lot of important necessary knowledge. Of course, most of you will still be working your day job, so maybe try to allow some time in the evenings or on the weekends to do your research. Also, stay organized! Nothing is worse than sifting through a huge pile of papers looking for a specific site or web address. If you can go into this venture from a learning perspective, it will make everything easier down the road. Whenever you are working to make money online, research, learning, studying, and keeping up-to-date are going to be some of the most important things you can do. Remember that a lot of your competition will probably try to go in blindly, so then you’ll be one step ahead.

2. Find Good Products and Test Them.

When you are ready to take the step into making money blogging, affiliate marketing is one of the simplest ways beginners can make money. Not only can you have the potential to start generating sales, but you will get exposed to a lot of people who know what they are doing, who have already had success, and who are actually willing to help you. Once you find a good product that you want to try to sell, test the waters. Place some ads in various areas and keep track of whether or not you’re making any sales. When first starting out, only promote one or two products at a time! It seems like you will do better if you start promoting 100 things at once, but when you have so many campaigns going at the same time, it’s easy to lose focus and concentration. You want to be able to put forth your full effort and really see whether or not this product is going to pay off for you. Keep in mind that a lot of products end up not being successful money makers, so if you find that is the case, go back to the drawing board and pick something else. Don’t spend a lot of money until you find a profitable product! Most of us just starting out don’t have much extra money to spend on advertising anyway, but keeping costs down is important. Your ultimate goal is making a profit, right?

3.Get Excited and Don’t Give Up!

Start promoting yourself and your products as much as you can. Many well established and successful sites have opt-in email lists where you can sign up to get their daily or weekly newsletters. Get your email address on all of the ones that look helpful to you or your product. Many times, these emails are full of valuable information, and you’re getting it for free! These companies are reputable and are not going to sell or give away your email address, so it’s completely safe to go ahead and sign up! This is a continuation of your learning process, as well, because they will send you up to the minute information, and may even introduce you to new products! The more you can learn, the better! Speaking of email, send out some emails to family members and close friends and let them know about your new online adventure! No, you don’t have to try to sell them anything, but this is an easy way to start getting yourself out there. Please don’t spam anyone, though. Just send it out to those people who you know will be accepting of your emails. Also, when you send them out, ask your friends and family to let you know their personal opinions about your products, website, or any other feedback they can give. If you can get some open and honest feedback from those you trust, you can begin to get an idea of how you will be able to relate to the general public. You’re ultimately hoping a lot of these people will be your customers someday! This whole experience working online can be a lot of fun, but there are definitely going to be some very frustrating days. There may even be some frustrating weeks. Keep going, keep working, keep learning, and stay in the game! There are no people who succeed in making money online if they give up within the first couple of months! The longer you stick with it, the more chance you have to improve your skills, and eventually you’ll get where you want to be. Keep your perspective, and if you need a break, take one. Sometimes, when you’re taking a break, you do your best thinking and get some of your best ideas.

Hopefully I’ve provided you with some basic information for getting started making money blogging. It really is a learning experience, but at least you can do it from the comfort of your own home! Lots of moms and stay at home caregivers have options for generating online incomes that weren’t there even a few years ago. This market is open to anyone and everyone. Take it step by step, don’t jump in head first, and learn, learn, learn! Here’s to your success!
